STIGMA WITHIN THE BDSM COMMUNITY

Do kinksters face stigma from within the BDSM community? We begin by reviewing past research on stigma followed by results from our latest study about which interests, activities, dynamics, and relationship styles BDSM practitioners would be hesitant to disclose to others within the BDSM community. Finally, we'll explore what the BDSM community can do to reduce this self-imposed stigma and to support everyone in the activities and relationships we wish to pursue.
